Your account & privacy

Elan Academy uses your name, email and password hash to provide a student account. Practice answers, results, progress and uploaded recordings are stored to provide your learning history. Session information may include device details and IP address for account security.

Referrals

We store referral relationships, automatic reward events, admin rejection decisions and earned access rewards. Your referral dashboard shows referred students’ display names and referral status, not their email or study answers. Admins can view account emails, referral history and access dates.

Audio

Speaking recordings are saved through the platform’s recording service. If browser speech recognition fails, recovery runs on your device using a downloaded speech model. The recovery feature does not send audio to an external transcription API. Normal browser speech recognition is controlled by your browser and its provider.

Account control

Admins can disable or delete accounts and revoke sessions. Deletion removes the account, sessions and saved learning records. A one-way email identity hash and referral reward audit remain to prevent repeated signup rewards and preserve the 10-place lifetime limit. Uploaded files may remain in protected storage until separately removed; deletion is not an immediate physical erasure of every backup or file.
